Hello John I see that someone has already e-mailed you to advise that a Lavinia SWAIN is listed on FreeBMD as born in Leominster in 1860. (Presumably you know how to proceed from there?). In case you're interested, the Yarpole parish registers have the baptism of a Lavinia SWAIN on 3rd March 1861, father Richard SWAIN, labourer, mother Hannah. Abode Bircher Common. Hope this helps Gordon Evans ----- Original Message ----- From: "John Favill" <jfavill@wi.rr.com> To: <ENG-HEREFORD-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, March 05, 2002 9:33 PM Subject: [HEF] > Fellow listers, > My grandmother in an 1881 Census entry in Wolverhampton claimed she was born in Yarpole, Hereford.
