Hello Listers, I am in need of some inspiration! I've received "no trace" slips from both Hereford and Leominster Registrars for my G' Grandmother Elizabeth THOMAS, supposedly born14.4.1861 in Staunton on Wye. Does anyone recognise these details? Father Jonathan Thomas, Mother ? Catherine ( I think that this may be the problem - Catherine is certainly the mother of siblings , but can't find anything to actually tie her to Elizabeth ) Siblings - William 1862 Jonathan 1864 Catherine 1866 James 1867 Mary Ann 1870 Fanny 1872 Agnes 1874 Eliza 1877 The sibling details are from the 1871 and 1881 census.I also have Elizabeth's marriage cert. Marriage at St Nicholas Hereford 7.2.1885 to Thomas Clarke . Hello Jan The 14th of April might have been correct but someone's got their years wrong somewhere! Staunton-on-Wye registers have the baptism of an Elizabeth THOMAS on 6 May 1860, father Jonathan THOMAS, shoemaker, mother Catherine. Problem solved ?
