Hello Listers Many thanks to all who sent me suggestion for finding my great-grandmother's Christening date. I tried various things but then received a wonderful offer from Leon Knapper to actually search the records for me. Leon not only found my Ellen Ann Knight in the 1861 Census, but supplied me with her whole family and the family next-door, who appeared to be related to her mother (a Gittins). Then he found the Baptism Records of all the children (including two I had not known of at all!) - plus another possible relative on the Knight side. The kindness of "Listers" is overwhelming! A huge vote of thanks to Leon (I have written to him separately) for so much information and to everyone who continues to help me. This must also include Sue, who has found a record of yet another relative - this time on the Colton/Bytheway side (Ellen Ann Knight married a Edward Colton and Sue found, we think, his brother Thomas, who married Rebecca Bytheway) - and Sue has kindly bought the record for me and is mailing it!
