I can give you what I have found in Orcop area in 1851 which might link up with your BARRELL's . The only James from Grosmont was married to an Elizabeth maybe she died in childbirth and he remarried to an Ann or vice versa . It happened a lot. I noted these details down while looking through the census as I also have an interest in the name BARRELL.: Daisy May BEVAN born 1896 my ggAunty, married Reginald BARRELL born 1893 .
