My ggrandfather, John DAVIES, was born to Elizabeth DAVIES in 1826 in Bosbury. The christening record indicates that she was working as a servant at Shin's Croft, an estate to the northwest of Bosbury. Many thanks to Tony for pointing me in the right direction with an old map. Elizabeth died in 1830 and John was raised in the area and appears in the 1841 Census as a 14-year old farm servant on the William and Mary Ann PALMER Farm in Bosbury. By 1851 he had immigrated to St. Hilary in Glamorgan, Wales, and was working as a farm bailiff. Can anyone give me an idea as to what records to be looking for that would help me document his years (1826- ?>1841) in Bosbury? I have access to an LDS FHC if they are on film or fiche.
