Dear Listers In a recent English e-newsletter was a list of "old English" surnames with corresponding pronunciations. One example caught my eye: It was stated - BEAWORTHY should be pronounced BOWRY with emphasis on the BOW. Can someone familiar with pronunciation confirm this?
