Hello Nicola, You will find there is an awful lot of Merricks in Herefordshire. My grandfather was John Merrick he was born 12 may 1893, he married Lily Dorothy Leriche on 8 aug 1919, he was a train driver based at Hereford. he was transferred by the railway to Wolverhampton.
