    1. [HEF] BAKER in Much Marcle and Munsley C18th and C19th
    2. Sara White
    3. My most distant Baker ancestor is Philip Baker who married Mary Yeats in Munsley, Herefordshire in 1755. I would like to find Philip's birth, which I think would be 1713-1723. Does anyone know of a likely candidate? Philip and Mary's children were all born in Munsley, but the only grandchildren I know of (children of Philip Baker (born 1765) and Mary Parry) were born in Much Marcle, Herefordshire. I would love to get in touch with anyone who is also interested in this family. Sara White

    1. [HEF] Cemetery Lists
    2. Hi everyone. Some of you know me. I am Renee Waring, sometimes called "The Little Red Hen". I have put together a site for the transcription/photographing of Cemeteries around the world. If you have a cemetery that you have photographed, or transcribed, we would love to have your information added to the site. You will continue to hold all of the artistic integrety, and if at anytime you wish to remove the information, you may do so (though I hope you won't feel the need). This site is free of any access charges. If anyone would like a link on their site to this group, we can do that too. No longer will you have to wait for others to add your information to their site. You can add the information yourself. I am the owner and manager of this group. I hope you decide to join. God Bless, Sincerely, Renee L. 3. Hello Della Found in Bishop's Transcript film of Kington baptisms :- 21 July 1816. John, son of Thomas & Hannah EVANS, labourer. Neither the 1861 nor 1871 census for Herefordshire is indexed, I'm afraid, so trying to find your family in them is like looking for a needle in a haystack. They were in Friars Street, Hereford in the 1851 but had gone from there by 1861. Best wishes. 1. Re: [HEF] 1851 census
    2. gordon evans
    3. Hello Gladys This looks very much like your great-grandfather's family :- 1851 Census Herefordshire. Longtown, Brynn Head. James PRICE, head, m, 33, cripple under Union, HEF Dorstone. Hannah, wife, m, 31, HEF Clodock. Hannah, daughter, 6, HEF Clodock. George, son, 7 months, HEF Clodock. I couldn't find the family in the 1861 Census (which isn't indexed, of course). George doesn't feature in the Clodock baptisms register, but there is an entry on 3 November 1852 for an Andrew, son of James & Hannah PRICE of Brynn Turnpike, labourer. As I think you already know, an Andrew PRICE was one of the witnesses to George PRICE's marriage to Annie WOOLF in Kington on 27 March 1876. There would seem every chance that the marriage at Clodock on 10 December 1842 between James PRICE and Hannah WATKINS is that of George's parents, providing the link to the other witness at his own wedding viz Emma WATKINS. Hope this helps.
