    1. [HEF] 1851 census request.
    2. Fred Andrews
    3. Can SKS please look for the following for me.? I have a marriage in Mar.1851 in the Register Office Hereford between John HORMBREY & Elizabeth JONES the Daughter of John Jones (Farmer) A John Hormbrey is shown as working for Thomas Jones. He is shown as being 2 years older and still single.?? Also shown as being born in Clehonger. No trace of any HORMBREYS or like name in the PRS for Clehonger. The name has been changed constantly from Hormbrey--Hornbrey--Hanbury Embrey. I do have John HORMBREY as having died in Orcop (PRs) 1870. Any suggestions as to the location of ELIZABETH HORMBREY in 1851.? Or her Father John Jones.? I think that Elizabeth was born in Little Dewchurch. Here is hoping. TYIA. Fred Andrews.

    1. [HEF] Re: Waring Bible
    2. Thank you so much John for getting back to me so soon. Unfortunatly it is not the one that I am searching for. I have a Waring Family Memoir that mentions a bible Willed in 1807 to an Edmund Waring in Herefordshire. The memoir lists a genealogy that goes back to 1722 and no further. His reasoning? It was already recorded back 12 generations so he didn't need to. For the life of me, I can't find where. As far as we can tell there is no link to an important family, though the Edmund Waring of 1722 did have money. I think this missing Bible is the key. It was owned by Edmund Waring b. 1722 d. 1807 married to Anne Cooke and willed to his 3rd son Edmund. If you ever find or hear anything about this, please let me know. It is so important to us.
