    1. [HEF] 1841 census
    2. Andrew FRANKS
    3. I wonder if SKS has access to the 1841 census for Herefordshire at all and would have details for a William PARTRIDGE probably in Eastnor and certainly around Ledbury area in 1841. He should be about 10. I would appreciate a look-up for William if anyone is able to access this. I am hoping to find him living with a Joseph and Elizabeth PARTRIDGE. Best wishes Carol in Berkshire

    3. I use PAF5 the PAF Companion. With the GEDCOM imported into the PAF5 program, there is a tool in PAF5 which will automatically generate the html code for use on your website. In addition the PAF Companion when loaded on the same machine as PAF5 will allow one to generate text files of either ancestors or descendants in various forms. My website is made from a number of these on descendants and ancestors which I have produced directly from PAF5 using the web generating tool. You can my website at www.geocities.com/sjkelsey2000. This works very well. PAF5 can be downloaded for FREE at www.familysearch.com. PAF Companion is available for purchase but at a very nominal fee. The files generated are in .rtf format which is easily read by word and then can be output in .doc format for transmission over the net as well. I recommend them to you. 1. [HEF] location of a photograph
    2. Sandra Wilson
    3. Whilst going through a box of family photographs I came across one of a castle. If I knew where it was taken it could give me clues as to the movements of one particularly elusive family member. I have posted the picture at http://www.staithes.demon.co.uk/where.html <http://www.staithes.demon.co.uk/where> and would be really grateful if anyone could tell me where it is - and hence where a certain Albert Henry Wilson was between 1881 and 1901. If anyone could tell me who the two elegant Edwardian ladies are that would be even better- there was a dark secret in his life in the shape of a barmaid called Maud who has never been identified! Thanks in anticipation John Wilson

    1. [HEF] Martin Family in 1891
    2. Alan Hayes
    3. Dear Listers, I have this family in the 1871, 1881 and 1901 censuses, but have not had the chance to look for them in 1891. The name is Catherine MARTIN (widow by 1891), born in Ireland, with daughter Catherine and possibly son John. They were in Bewell Street, Hereford in 1881 and in Edgar Street, Hereford in 1901 - in the latter they were with the Sessarago family (transcribed as Sessarags in both censuses!). If anyone has access to the 1891 census for the Hereford area I would be very grateful for a look-up. Yours, Janet

    3. Hello Greg In your search of the Wacton PR's you no doubt noticed the following baptisms :- 23 July 1810. Mary & Sophia, twin daughters of William and Martha JOHNSON, labourer. 1 August 1813. William, son of William and Martha JOHNSON, labourer. 25 February 1816. George, son of Timothy and Martha JOHNSON, labourer. 12 September 1817. Betsy, daughter of William and Martha JOHNSON, labourer. Do you not think there's a chance that the vicar might simply have got one of the names wrong, and that George really IS your man, correct father's name William? 3. I have worked on this previously without much results. Wacton is a chapelry in the parish of Bromyard and one would expect the christening to be there but it is not. I have collected lots of George Jaunceys but no candidates for this one.
