    3. Hello: I have an elderly friend that lives quite a distance from my home and she has people in Herefordshire (I should say, she DID have people) and wants to join this List. I sent her the Instructions on how to do that but she can't figure it out. Is there some way I could just send her, the Subscribe Page, so all she has to do is click on Send? Thanks, Bonnie

    2. Wendy Evans
    3. Hello, I am looking for the marriage of Thomas LLOYD and Mary HARRY/HARRIES. They were both born in Herefordshire in 1814. They had a son Edwin in 1838/9 and a daughter Harriett in Hay in 1844. Looking on FreeBDM, I found the birth of an Edwin LLOYD in Merthyr Tydfil in Mar quarter 1839 and the was quite excited to find a Thomas LLOYD and Mary HARRIES in Merthyr Tydfil on the same page for marriages in the December quarter 1838. I sent off for the certificate and was told that they did not actually marry each other, so I am back to square one. Any help or information would be appreciated. Regards Wendy in Queensland, Australia

    3. Thanks to those who answered, that informants on death certificates did not have to be male--but often were. These could be a son or the coroner. Appreciate replies from Janet English, Stephen Kelsey, Barbara, John Ball, Polly Rubery, Jan Trory, and Cecil that helped me to better understand this. Ruth Ann Baker United States

George moved to Breconshire, became a miller at Talgarth and married into another family of millers (the Handleys) from Radnorshire. Once again, many thanks. Norman

    3. Des will be sorely missed by us all! He was like family to us. Although we only met a few times we "chatted" quite frequently, whenever we were online together! He was one of the four founder members of our "Gwilliam" Surname community site back in 2002 with MSN and with Yahoo! He was helpful, friendly and did not moan or groaned, but was happy! Our thoughts are with his wife and family at this sad time! regards all Hazel > ----- Original Message ----- > From: "Desmond Gwilliam" <[email protected]> > To: [email protected] > Subject: [HEF] Desmond Edward Gwilliam > Date: Thu, 13 Jul 2006 19:43:04 +0100 > > > The family of Desmond Edward Gwilliam regretfully announce the > sudden death of 'Des' on 7th July 2006 aged 69years. > > I write on behalf of Dad and know how much he enjoyed looking up > family history. > > If anyone would like to contact Debbie, his daughter, my e-mail > address is [email protected] > > Thankyou > > Debbie > > > ==== ENG-HEREFORD Mailing List ==== > . > > ============================== > New! 1. Unidentified subject!
    2. Hi I`ve just recieved a copy of a certificate showing the marriage of a Henry JONES (58, woodcutter father richard SMITH a collier)) to a Hannah GUNDY (57,father James JONES a collier)) living at Joyford. Hannah was born a JONES but no relation to Henry that I know of. In 1855 she had a daughter Jane with no father mentioned. In 1857 hannah married a Benjamin GUNDY and Jane was living with Hannah`s mother Henry married a Mary(maiden name may have been HARRIS)and this was shown on the 1861 census. By 1871 Henry and Hannah was living together(Hannah was the housekeeper)and they had a son henry in 1878. In 1889 they married Henry 58, a widower and Hannah 57, a widow but Benjamin Gundy didn`t die until 1895. Confused? I am. However it gets more complicated as I also found a record of a marriage between a Richard SMITH and an Alice GUNDY September 1891 Is anyone else researching these names Help would be appreciated Sylvia ___________________________________________________________ Tiscali Broadband from 14.99 with free setup! http://www.tiscali.co.uk/products/broadband/
