Hello from Australia. I am not sure if I am on the right list, but here goes. I have an uncle who was in the Australian Army in WW! and a naughty boy he was! After a few minor charges he finally struck a superior officer and was the subject of a Court Martial held at Perham Downs. He was awarded 25 years penal servitude, but apparenty mercy prevailed and it was reduced to 2 years. I am trying to find if there was an Army prison facility at Perham Downs in WW1. I know there was an Army establishment there and I have been told that there still is. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Cheers Bob Cunning, Melbourne in Spring.
