Hullo all, I am descended from Thomas MATTHEWS ( 2 T's ) who married Mary PARSONS at Kingsclere on 19 July 1794. Their third child, Charles MATTHEWS was baptised on 29 June 1801 at Kingsclere and he married Eliza MARKS. Charles & Eliza's first child, Thomas, was born at Kingsclere in 1831. Charles & Eliza emigrated to New Zealand aboard the 'Olympus' in 1842. Eliza was baptised on 24 May 1803 at Reading and was the daughter of Francis MARKS & Elizabeth WHITE.
