I have recently learned that my grandmother, Mary Ann Hiscock was born in Kingsclere and christened on 24 Aug 1860. I think she married Samuel Charles Griffiths in 1880 in Kingston. Her father was Daniel Hiscock and mother, Sarah (nee Martin), who were married on 26 dec 1858. Daniel Hiscocks(Hiscox) was christened 22 Feb 1835 in All Cannings, Wilts..The Hiscock family lived in The Dell, Kingsclere. Daniel was a sawyer. In 1881 census the children were Louisa, Jane e, Rosa, Ada, Ernest W, Hubert, Caroline A, Nora E and an infant 2 days old, a granddaughter. > Any further information would be greatly appreciated. > Rita Ford >
