Dear Listers, I understand there is someone there researching the family HUNT My husbands GGGFather was William Hunt born 1834 Eastern Cape, South Africa. d 22/5/1927 buried Grahamstown. m to Elizabeth Jane b 1848 , 17/8/1921 also Grahamstown. and I have the family from then to now. We were always told that they were 1820 settlers to the Cape, but realise now that they were descendents of settlers. We have no further information and knowing that he was British are keen to find out any further details. I am trying to find out where he was baptised (all his children were in Grahamstown Catholic church) and hopefully then will find out his parents names. has anyone got a pair who came out to south Africa in 1820?
