Hi Everyone, Could someone please check the Burghclere parish records for me? I have Amelia Baverstock (born abt 1805 on supposedly in Newtown) marrying Isaac Richardson 17 Nov 1832. Would you please double check to see if her name really is Amelia, or if I translated it wrong. I have looked and looked and cannot find an Amelia Baverstock Christening around this area. I'm thinking her parents might be Wm Baverstock and Elizabeth Head, who were married 16 Oct 1804; but cannot prove it. Many thanks Carole __________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Yahoo! Mail Plus - Powerful. Affordable. Sign up now. http://mailplus.yahoo.com

Nothing in Highclere or Ecchinswell (covered by Kingsclere) but there is a marriage of William Baverstock to Elizabeth HILL at East Woodhay on 20 Sep 1784. The only reference to a Baverstock baptism there is in fact a burial on 28 Feb 1787 of ------ Baverstock, inf So cannot help with tracking down your Amelia --- John Lewis <jayellatntlworlddotcom> from Bournemouth, Dorset, UK. using Debian GNU/Linux and GeneWeb genealogy software Main Family Names in HAM are: Kingsclere: BUTLER, COOPER, FISHER, FOSTER, GIRDLER, HAWKINS, SMITH Hazeley Heath: BARKER, CHANDLER, LEWINGTON, NEVILL(E) Main Family Names in GLA are: GRIFFITH, HOPKINS, JENKINS, LEWIS. Hi Carole, Your Marriage is entry No. 105 it reads: Isaac Richardson of this parish Bachelor and Amelia Baverstock of this parish Spinster were married in this church by Banns with the conscent of parents this 17th day of November 1832 by J C Stapleton Rector of Ogasl (h) in, Clare, Ireland. Solemimised by Isaac Richardson X his mark and Amelia Baverstock X her mark Witnesses Thomas Richardson X his mark and Sarah Richardson X her mark. Her name was definately written as Amelia. Just a thought, if she was born about 1805 that would make her about 27 when she was married and if that was the case she wouldn't need the conscent of her parents. Could she have been born a little later than 1805? I don't have the Baptismal records for this period so can't look at Burghclere for you sorry. Hope this is of some help. Kind Regards, Margaret, N.S.W., Australia. ----- Original Message ----- From: "CeeCeeTee" <brit_84414@yahoo.com> To: <ENG-HAMPSHIRE-KINGSCLERE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Sunday, December 01, 2002 4:24 PM Subject: BAVERSTOCK > Hi Everyone, > Could someone please check the Burghclere parish > records for me?
