Due to an increased number of submissions, Symantec Security Response is upgrading W32.Brid.A@mm from a Category 2 to a Category 3. W32.Brid.A@mm is a mass-mailing worm that includes a slightly modified variant of the virus W32.FunLove.4099. When W32.Brid.A@mm is attached to an e-mail message, and if the e-mail message is viewed on an un-patched system, the worm will run automatically. W32.Brid.A@mm attempts to insert several files onto the computer system and e-mail itself to all addresses listed in the Microsoft Outlook Address Book (the worm also searches .htm and .dbx files for e-mail addresses).
