Hello All, Hampshire Genealogical Society Open Day Sunday 22 September (10.00am to 4.00pm) Horndean Community School, Barton Hall, Horndean, not far from Portsmouth. This year the Public Record Office and the Family Record Centre <> ONS (Office for National Statistics) will be there, plus all of the usual Family History Society Stalls. HGS Computer Group and three free lectures given by Jeane Bunting, John Hanson and Audrey Collins. A good day out for genealogist. After there is the AGM at 4.30pm in the Sixth Form Common Room at the school. On the 23rd October the Commonwealth War Graves Commission will be coming to the Basingstoke branch of the Hampshire Genalogical Society, to show their slides and give a talk entitled "A Debt of Honour", this is an open evening and everyone is welcome to come. I would like to know who will be coming, to make sure that we have enough seats in the hall. The meeting is at St. Michael's Church Hall, rear of St. Michael's Church, off Church Street, Basingstoke.
