Hello Does anyone know what it means to be "Married in the Parish Church according to the rites and ceremonies of the Established Church by certificate from the Superintendent Registrar" I would be grateful for information please and are these certificates different from the usual marriage certificate? I do remember this subject cropping up on the list previously but I didn't really take in the discussion, as I hadn't had any personal experience of finding a marriage entry with this written on it until just recently.
