My Husband's grandmother was Alice TIGWELL, born in Ufton, Berkshire, in 1862 to George Tigwell and Jane (BUSS). It has been fairly straightforward to establish the line until it may lead to Kingsclere; where in the 1851 Census there is JAMES TIGWELL, aged 57, a Woodman Carrier, born Ufton, his wife is Phoebe, aged 57, born, Hants, Kingston? I also have a 'note' of a marriage in Kingsclere from a contact in Australia which needs checking out: Richard TIGWELL to Elizabeth LAMPORT, 23 Dec 1712. Kingsclere.
