    3. Good morning Barbara, and Hello Kerry, welcome to the clan! I wonder if John would like to check this for us? I think I've just found the link! I hadn't seen it written out like you've just written it before. I decided to go looking at my tree details and found that I had pencilled in Martha BRIDGMAN for a Joseph who is son to William and Hannah MILES. I have William and Mary MILES (nee WITHERS) as my family line. Then I realised that there is a John of marriageable age there too. Perhaps he is John Miles who married Hannah POCOCK. There are actually two Joseph's in the family. I had attributed Martha to the first Joseph, but on reflection that is most probably wrong. I picked up this marriage from the Bishops Transcripts. Would you like to check out the marriages John and see if they say where the boys are from because as far as I am concerned they were all born in Chedworth, Gloucester as per the IGI Batch No C032081. regards, Carol Ps John can you tell me more about the Daniel born in Polhampton, is he the son of William and Elizabeth Miles (nee WOODHOUSE) Perhaps Kerry is coming from this side of the tree? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Barbara Mallyon" <BarbaraMallyon@lewmal.co.uk> To: <ENG-HAMPSHIRE-KINGSCLERE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, January 24, 2003 8:32 AM Subject: Re: Miles Kingsclere Hello Kerry, To make the MILES research a little easier for you, as the other researchers know there are 3 main MILES family trees in Kingsclere there is my own that goes back to Joseph MILES/MILLS married Martha BRIDGMAN 20 September 1780 Kingsclere 2. John MYHILL/MILES married Hannah POCOCK 30 November 1796 Kingsclere 3.William MILES married Mary WITHERS 30 October 1783 Thatcham, Berkshire Some researcher have gone back further than what I have listed for you, so be very careful when you see a MILES in Kingsclere, as each tree has some of the same names on it. So far I have not heard of anyone that has linked these 3 MILES families together, I hope that one day we will be able to do that.
