Hello All, At yesterdays meeting of the Hampshire Genealogical Society, the Basingstoke Branch, I was shown a hard backed book "Kingsclere" by John Porter published by Chatto and Windus, Piccadilly, London 1896. The book is all about the racing stables at Kingsclere, this book was and is very popular, we have found copies for sale at Amazon and Alibris on the internet, the cheapest price we have seen was £35.00 up to about £65.00. in the UK and America. The Porter family can be seen on the Census as living at the Kingsclere Stables and Mr Porter as Manager. I would be please to know has anyone got a copy.
