    3. Hello All, You may be interested to read this message. List of Non-conformist research places to look at. 1. "Tracing Your Ancestors in the Public Record Office" published by the Public Record Office. 2. "Catholic Missions and Registers 1700 - 1880; Volume 1: London and the Home Counties", published by Michael Gandy. 3. "National Index of Parish Registers - Volume 2; Sources for Nonconformist Genealogy and Family History", published by the Society of Genealogists. [Recommended for Protestant denominations.] 4. "My Ancestors Were Congregationalists", etc., published by the Society of Genealogists. 5. The Catholic Family History Society is publishing its records for the 18th. and 19th. centuries. Unfortunately for you, I only hold the records for the Midlands and East Anglia. Other possible publishers worth checking are: a. The Federation of Family History Societies. b. Stuart Raymond. According to book (2) above, there was at least one Catholic church for the Canterbury area from 1685 (Hales Place); for 1718-1744 Nash Court was used; then back to Hales Place from 1744; registers exist for Hales Place from 1793. Libraries and record offices: - The Public Record Office - Dr. Williams' Library, 14 Gordon Square, London WC1. - Evangelical Library, 78 Chiltern Street, London W1. - Presbyterian Historical Society Library, 86 Tavistock Place, London WC1. - [Unitarians] Essex Hall, Essex Street, London WC2. - Congregational Library, Memorial Hall, Farringdon Street, London EC4. - Baptist Union Library, 4 Southampton Row, London WC1. - [Quakers] Local record offices and Library of Friends' House, Euston Road, London NW1. - [Moravians] - most records are at the PRO. - Methodist Archives and Research Centre, 25 City Road, London EC1. - [Methodist] Wesley Historical Society Library, 25 City Road, London EC1. - [Huguenot] - most records are at the PRO. - Huguenot Society Library, University College, Goer Street, London W1. - Guildhall Library, Basinghall Street, London EC2. Some of the addresses must be out of date by now (the book was written in 1973), but I'm sure someone will be kind enough to let me know.
