John Many thanks for all the Kewell baptisms. I shall have to investigate the 1851 censuses to try and unravel a few more of the family relationships. Are you sure that it was William Kewell junior rather than William Kewell senior who was the widower who married Sarah Tidbury? I have a few extra dates for the children of David Tidbury and Phoebe Kewell and one extra child. David Tidbury's age at death on his death certificate was 84 years, but 82 years in the burial record. He was therefore born between about 1783 and 1785 supposedly in Greenham. I have however been unable to locate a baptism for him in Greenham. David and Phoebe had one other child who is not in your list: Jane Tidbury, baptised on 10th October 1824 at St Mary's, Greenham. She is I believe the Jane Tidbury who was buried in Kingsclere on 29th June 1835 aged 11 years. Solomon Tidbury was baptised on 29th July 1827 at St Mary's, Greenham. David Tidbury junior was baptised on 13th December 1829 at St Mary's Greenham. He married Emma and had a number of children but they were all born in Shrubs Hill, Surrey, so you probably don't want to include them as they're 'foreigners'! The Joshua Tidbury who married Mary appears to have married twice. His second wife was Mary Ann, who was born about 1850 in Coombe, Hampshire. She was previously married to William BATT, but I don't know her maiden name. They married in the June quarter of 1890 somewhere in the Kingsclere Registration District. Both Joshua Tidbury and Mary Ann BATT had children from their first marriages. I might get back to you at a later stage about some of the other Kewell descendants. I seem to be suffering from information overload at the moment. I'm trying to focus on the early Thatcham registers to sort out all the (literally) hundreds of Tidburys who were living there. I will keep a look out for Willmotts when I go to the BRO to verify all the Thatcham details I've found on the IGI. Best wishes Debbie
