I am particularly interested in the 1851 census. I am seeking William and Martha LAWRENCE aged 70 - 90 if still alive and William LAWRENCE their son aged about 45. His sisters were Mary Ann, Maria, Joanna, Rebekah, Fanny and Elizabeth. I know that most of these would have probably married, if still alive but it is possible that I might find one unmarried in 1851. All the children were born between 1797 and 1810 so should be 40 - 53 years old. | | I am also interested in locating the marriage of William LAWRENCE to Martha UNKNOWN possibly in East Woodhay c1796. | | My LAWRENCE family are connected with Newbury through the marriage of Ann LARENCE, baptised 1800 to Charles PURDUE. I know she died in 1851, just after the census was taken, in which her birthplace is recorded as East Woodhay. I am hoping that she is indeed the Ann LAWRENCE born to William and Martha LAWRENCE. | | Any help would be much appreciated. | | Kind regards Carol in Berkshire | | | ============================== | To join Ancestry.com and access our 1.2 billion online genealogy records, go to: | http://www.ancestry.com/rd/redir.asp?targetid=571&sourceid=1237 |
