Hello Stuart I have been looking again at the info I sent you and think I put 2 and 2 together and made 5 in attributing Henery Robbins & Mary Butler as parents of John and Sarah ? The ages just don't fit. But I can be fairly sure that John & Sarah had at least the following four children:- William, born about November 1742, Thatcham, baptized on 28 November 1742, St. Mary, Thatcham, died in March 1826, Fair Oak, Kingsclere, buried on 29 March 1826, St. Mary, Kingsclere (age at death: possibly 83 years old), Maltster. Married on 8 November 1773, Baughurst, Hants, to Susannah Taylor, born - Baughurst, died in June 1809, Fair Oak, Kingsclere, buried on 15 June 1809, St. Mary, Kingsclere. Elioner, born about 5 May 1745, Thatcham. Henry, born about March 1746, baptized on 20 March 1746, St. Mary, Thatcham. Lucy, born about 26 August 1750, Thatcham. ***************************************************************** What I cannot be certain about is that the 1746 Henry was the one that married Mary Woolford although the date of the children I recorded fits in with a marriage in 1771. It really needs a check of the the parish registers for Thatcham and Woolhampton to see if there is anything to suggest a connection. The two children baptised to a Henry & Mary ? at St. Mary Thatcham were Mary, bapt. 9 May 1773 and Catherine, bapt. 21 June 1789. ***************************************************************** And I am quite confident about the descendants of William and Susannah William Robbins, born about November 1742, Thatcham, baptized on 28 November 1742, St. Mary, Thatcham, died in March 1826, Fair Oak, Kingsclere, buried on 29 March 1826, St. Mary, Kingsclere (age at death: possibly 83 years old), Maltster. Married on 8 November 1773, Baughurst, Hants, to Susannah Taylor, born - Baughurst, died in June 1809, Fair Oak, Kingsclere, buried on 15 June 1809, St. Mary, Kingsclere, with Sarah, born about September 1774, Fair Oak, Kingsclere, baptized on 11 September 1774, St. Mary, Kingsclere, died after 1851. John, born about August 1777, Fair Oak, Kingsclere, baptized on 8 August 1777, St. Mary, Kingsclere. Hope this makes better sense than my first quick attempt at a Robbins tree. -- John Lewis <jayellatntlworlddotcom> from Bournemouth, Dorset, UK. using Debian GNU/Linux and GeneWeb genealogy software
