Hello all, Is anyone else researching BROWNJOHN? My gt gt grandmother was a Martha BROWNJOHN,born about 1766-8ish,according to the 1851 census at Sydmonton,I have found baptisms for her siblings at Greenham but not for Martha. She was the daughter of Michael BROWNJOHN & Sarah ?,I do not have their marriage,Michael was buried in 1796 possibly at Ecchinswell. also I recently received and answered a queery regarding a James BROWNJOHN born 1773 at Kingsclere,I quoted the note I had made(some time ago):- Baptism-Kingsclere-14 March 1773-James,illigit s of John BROWNJOHN lab,of Headley Common & Apple? Since replying I have wondered why the mothers name is not mentioned-it seems unusual,and I am wondering if I omitted to copy it! Any help would be much appreciated.
