Hi to all Kingsclere researchers thanks for the warm reception. You mentioned a brick wall mine has been to go back on one John Hedges(B.ABT 1755) (Died 26 June 1830 Baughurst Hampshire England ) who married Hannah Fruin 5th of May 1783 in Kingsclere Hampshire England. Banns were read and both declared of the Parish of Kingsclere at time of Marriage.. Hannah Fruin (bapt.02/02/1763) was the daughter of James Fruin and Bethany (Harmsworth or Harmswood!!!) I have 8 children listed for them. The places of birth or Bapt. were: The Common Kingsclere.--------- Hannah Woolverton Lane Kingsclere.---------John b.abt.1791(Problem with this did he die in 1797??) The Town Kingsclere.-------------------Mary Kingsclere.-------------------------------Daniel Kingsclere---------------------------------Sarah Baughurst.--------------------------------Robert Baughurst.-------------------------------William Baughurst.-------------------------------Elizabeth My next line down goes from Daniel Hedges who married Ann Girdler and this family lived at Hollybush Lane Baughurst. Ann was still there in the 1881 census a widow with son William and grandson David. Note for Bethany i have a birth for a female Harmsworth 1730 no first name given and a christening for a Bethany Harmswood 1732 Tadley Which is the right one?? note for John b. abt.1791 have a death for a John Hegges 1797 son of John and Hannah I also have a John Hedges (Born 1791) who married an Elizabeth Orchard of Kingsclere and this marriage gives me a complete line down which i dare not yet to connect. As you can see more than one brick wall .Problems as you see with spelling differences Hegges or Hedges, Harmsworth or Harmswood. Any suggestions or help would be very much appreciated. Peter Hedges(Gennut)
