Hello All I am having trouble with BT at the moment. I am on Surf Time but could always use Daytime. BT suddenly over the past five weeks have not accepted me during Daytime - they do not accept my User Name & Password although I have not in anyway altered the wording in the Box. I wrote to them as to find a "live" voice on the telephone I found impossible. A young man came on the phone last week and took me through procedures and he gave me a new Symbol and said everything would be O.K. I now have Symbol "Short cut New Daytime". Tried it - you have guessed correctly - still will not accept me. I have sent another letter. >From Barbara's List it appears I am not the only one having trouble with BT. Anyone who has sent me messages and have not received a reply I am sorry - perhaps I might receive them if you send after 6pm in the evening and before 8am next day and at the Weekends - this is my Surf Time Package - if you send during the day it seems that I am not going to receive them as my User Name & Password are not being accepted. I know that BT have had Virus trouble and I wonder if this is the cause, though the young man last week who phoned said it should not affect me. I am running my Norton twice a week at the moment just incase. Denis [Hamilton]
