    3. If you have visited my 'Kingsclere Families' website in the last few days you may have noticed that I am setting up a new website at:- http://www.startx.co.uk You will notice a strong resemblance to Peter Goff's Kingsclere History website. This is intentional as both sites cover Kingsclere and surrounding villages but from slightly different aspects. I have Peter's permission to use his design for the pages. I still have a lot to do before I can close my original site. I am trying to put only up-to-date data in the new pages so it will take a while before I have checked all the family trees and can transfer them over. So don't remove your bookmark to the old pages just yet. In case anyone wonders why 'startx.co.uk' When I decided to register my own domain I was going to use something like jayell.co.uk but was offered the startx one by a fellow member of the Hampshire Linux User Group. As it was already registered it was easy to transfer the ownership to me. 'startx' is the command used in GNU/Linux to start the Graphical User Interface (GUI) which can look like the desktop interface you will be used to from M$Windows. -- John Lewis <jayellatntlworlddotcom> from Bournemouth, Dorset, UK. using Debian GNU/Linux and GeneWeb genealogy software
