I cannot help you with parents for James but there was a John Hockley with wife Hannah baptising children in Kingsclere around the date of James baptism. the children were: Thomas ca 1786-1840 married 1810 Mary North ca 1788-1841 Isaac ca 1790-1840 married 1818 Charlotte Stroud 1795 Hannah ca 1792 Mary ca 1796 & ? ? Elizabeth ca 1800 I am guessing the James age 59 in 1851 was the one who married Elizabeth Eatwell at St. Mary in 1832. He was a widower when he married. Witnesses were Thomas and Mary Hockley. So was he another of John & Hannah's children? To confuse the issue there was another James & Elizabeth who had two children born in Ecchinswell. This James married Elizabeth Ledster at St. Mary in 1786 and had Hannah ca 1786 and James ca 1790, both bapt. at St. Mary. -- John Lewis <jayellatntlworlddotcom> from Bournemouth, Dorset, UK. using Debian GNU/Linux and GeneWeb genealogy software
