Does anyone have an interest in this Kingsclere family who could help me with a small problem? I have been looking for the baptism of the John Aldridge who married Elizabeth Taylor in 1798. John died at Nutkins in March 1840 aged 70 years. This puts his birth around 1770 but I cannot see any baptism at St. Mary for him around this time. I have an earlier John, who married Mary Avelin (or Aveling) in Oct 1722. I have found five children so far for this couple but this only covers the period 1724-1737 so there is quite a gap before 1770. Possible siblings of this early John are Robert with wife Sarah and Thomas with wife Winifred. both had a child around 1813 then disappear from the register.
