COME TO TIDGROVE = on the weekend of 22nd/23rd September 2007 10am - 4pm This year is the last chance to visit the excavations at Tidgrove and see the remains of Kingclere's royal palace built for King Henry II in 1172. Tidgrove is a lovely spot halfway between Kingsclere and Overton situated in the middle of the Downs, a great spot for a picnic. The site is sign posted off the B3051 Kingsclere to Overton road.
