Dear List I would welcome any information on the family of William Thomas Piper born 1863 in East Woodhay. (Kingsclere Vol 2c Page 201 2nd Qt 1863). His father was a Henry Piper. William Thomas Piper married Sarah Jane Lancaster on the 3rd June 1895 at St Clements Church, Notting Hill, London. At the time of his marriage he was a police constable in in 1901 he was still serving and living in Harrow 0n the Hill, Middlesex. Regards. Mick Lancaster

CONFIRMATION East Woodhay Baptisms: No 74 07 Jun 1863 William Thomas son of Henry & Eliza PIPER of EW labourer + No 117 05 Mar 1865 Isaac son of Henry & Eliza PIPER ditto I can't trace Isaac in a subsequent census but there is a death registration for an Isaac PIPER aged 4 in Hungerford Registration District [which covers Kintbury - the Grandparents' (JACOBS) village] 2Q 1869 Hungerford 2c 152. There may have been further issue of Henry & Eliza as I noted more burials of infants, parentage of which I'm uncertain.
