Dorothy, Many many thanks. You are a star. I will finish off the Drewett Hannington line and get the details over to John so he can put them on the Kingsclere Families website for everybody. A lot is there already but I have been able get further back. There is a cottage in Hannington still standing that the Drewetts were occuping in 1675. My great grandfather George Smith bought it ca 1895. What is now a nice home for one family had three families living in it during late Victorian times. Now back to the puzzle of 'too many' Joseph Smiths in late 18th century Kingsclere! Will I ever find the birthplace of nx grandfather Stephen Smith b ca 1775 somewhere! Regards, Nigel Gerdes
