They are quite separate after 1800 from yours but the earlier roots may well be the same. Mine are in the Deane, Oakley, Hannington, Monk Sherborne area but have a possible connection with East Stratton Park. Hence the marriage of the first Edward to Ann Ward at East Stratton is something to follow-up. I was very interested to see the Richard Allen (abt 1798) baptised 3 April 1798 at Kingsclere to Ambrose and Elizabeth Allen (nee Wickens) married to Mary Russel on 31 March 1823 at Hannington. I am stuck with another candidate Richard Allen baptised according to my note (but I don't have the source - it was early research before I learned about citing sources) 6 March 1799 and born ca 1798 at Hannington with a death in 1858 and thus don't have enough information to decide which Richard Allen married Mary Russel. I wonder how you managed to get the link? Perhaps they are one and the same Richard? I am also trying to trace the parents of Ann Batt who married Richard (son of Ambrose) Allen's brother Charles Allen (ca 1815) on 24 Dec 1836 St Lawrence, Ecchinswell . Her first husband was David Hill and she married him on 21 July 1830 at Kingsclere. She might be the daughter of John Batt and Mary York baptised at Combe on 25 Nov 1805. Can anybody shed any light with names of fathers or witnesses at the marriages? Regards Nigel Gerdes
