Trying to find info on Francis John Collings born in Kingsclere in 1859 (according to 1891 census details) he was married to Mary Prentice born 1861 in Tardbigge, Bromsgrove and they had a son called William John Mills Collings born in 1890 in Bromsgrove. Mary Prentice was a relative of mine and I would like to be able to confirm her parentage. If anyone can help I would be most grateful thank you Jane Stapley

FreeBMD has only one Collings birth for Kingsclere between 1845 and 1881: Births Sep 1853: Collings Alfred James, Kingsclere 2c 170 but does have several Collins including: Births Dec 1857: Collins Francis James, Kingsclere 2c 186 Alfred James Collin(g)s was the baseborn son of Jane Collins born in Kingsclere Union and baptised at St. Mary on 29 Jul 1853, Jane was of Sidmonton, born ca July 1831 at Ecchinswell to William Collins & Jane Hussey. There was also a Francis Collins born about 1789 who married a Sarah Hunt at Ufton Court RC on 1 Aug 1815 (marriage also recorded at St. Mary Kingsclere on 10 Aug 1815) who had 5 children in Ecchinswell between 1815 & 1839.
