Just a note about the next three meetings of the Association. Any lister is welcome to attend. Meetings in 2007/8 - All held in the Village Club, 35 George Street, Kingsclere at 7.30pm Thursday 22nd November 2007 - a talk by Rob Webley, Finds Liaison Officer for Winchester Museums Service. Rob will tell us about his job which principally involves the identification and recording of archaeological finds brought in by members of the public. Our Christmas meeting will be on Thursday 13th December. Our speaker will be Iris Lloyd. Iris is an author living in Hungerford who has taken part in an archaeological dig at Beedon. Iris will tell us about the dig and how it has inspired her to write a series of six novels set in the late Roman era about the adventures of Bron, her heroine. Thursday 24th January 2008, another visit by Brian Spicer who is giving a third talk about Hackwood House entitled "Sale of the Century" detailing the disposal of furniture and efects when the house was sold.
