    1. Re: [King] Jonathan JEWELL & Ann SMITH
    2. Hi John The 1747 Hanson FORD does indeed appear to be a likely candidate. I've now discovered that Hanson and FORD and Elizabeth TIDBURY had one other daughter, Hannah, baptised on 17 September 1786 at Thatcham. The Berkshire Burial Index (CD from the Berkshire Family History Society) has the burial of Anson Ford on 11th May 1788 at Thatcham. His status was "poor" so presumably the parish paid for his burial. There are rather a lot of Elizabeth Fords in the burial index, many of whom have no age, but with Hanson's premature death it seems highly likely that Elizabeth would have remarried. The Family Search website is still not working properly so I can't check at the moment. Given a birth date of 1749 for Elizabeth I think it highly likely she married the Hanson bapt. 28 Jun 1747 at Shaw to Richard & Ann and have made this connection in my database.
