It is possible the marriage to Ann Tarplee was a second marriage, there are several death entries for an Ann Watkins between 1838 & 1843 though none identifiable without getting the certificates as there were no ages recorded in that period. The other thing to do is get the marriage certificate for Charles & Ann Craddock and see if that Charles has the same father as in the certificate you have. Marriages Jun 1838: Craddock Ann & WATKINS Charles, Bromyard 26 200 I found an Ann Craddock age ca21 in the 1841 living in Claines, Worcester but couldn't find an Ann Tarplee of about the same age. There was an Ann age 10 (born in county) living in George Street, Birmingham with father William, chair manufr and an Ann age 9 (not born in county) living in Crabbs Cross, Ibsley, Warcs with father George ag lab. Does any of this match the info you have in the marriage certificate? If Ann was actually born ca1830 then the age given for Ann Watkins in the 1891 Census (72) is wrong by ten years. I didn't find the Charles/Ann Watkins marriage on FreeBMD as they haven't been linked due to the page references being different. Marriages Mar 1843: Watkins Charles, Worcester 18 543 Marriages Mar 1843: TARPLEE Ann, Worcester 18 52_ The Full BMD index on ancestry.co.uk has both Charles & Ann on page 523 but on the actual image of the page used by the FreeBMD transcriber differs from this. -- John Lewis Debian (Sid) with the GeneWeb genealogy package
John, The marr. cert for Charles and Ann shows the fathers as Paul Watkins, Servant and Henry Tarplee, Labourer.I have found a Paul but am still trying to make a connection. On an L D S FILM, no. 496688,Vol.8 pages 13 -35 Phillimore, London, is shown the marriage of John Bayman to Amey Pearce (lic) 26 Aug 1808. Also Mary Bayman to Edward Pearce (Labourer) on 15 Jun 1777, possibly the Mary b.1758. Also, I think someone was asking about the name Aldridge. On the same film was Robert Aldridge of Burghclere to Elizabeth Allen on 2 Aug 1791.
