Hi All, Stephen Smith b ca 1777 (from age at death) was my 3X Great Grandfather, he married Elizabeth Chees(e)man on 26 Feb 1810 at Thatcham, Berks. Can anybody prove or disprove that Elizabeth was the daughter of Richard and Ann Cheeseman b ca 1758 nee Hussey? Elizabeth was baptised at St Mary Beenham on 11 May 1793. Elizabeth Smith died some time after 1814 and it was a second marriage for Stephen after his first wife Frances Crate Wickes died in 1809 and was buried at Burghclere on 02 Jun 1809.
