I am seeking to make contact, and to share HULL family history notes, with any relation or researcher of my cousin, William Frederick HULL. In the 1901 census, William 52, single, was a farmer in East Woodhay, with his mother, Sarah Ann 85 a widow, living with him. In Q1 of 1904 in Kensington district, William Frederick HULL married Bessie HODDINOTT (Free BMD ref: 1a / 306). William and Bessie farmed at West Woodhay, Berks. At the 1911 census for Hungerford district, William 62, Bessie 39 and their three children were enumerated. On July 30th., 1918, Bessie HULL 47 was buried in West Woodhay (NBI-2); on January 10th., 1939, William Frederick HULL 89 was buried in West Woodhay, St. Laurence (NBI-2). William and Bessie had issue: a. Edith HULL, born in Kingsclere district, Berks, about Q3 of 1904; b. William Frederick HULL, born in Kingsclere district, Berks, about Q1 of 1906; c. Maggie HULL, born in Kingsclere district, Berks, about Q2 of 1909. Best wishes. Peter Ferreira Toronto, Canada.
Peter, I do have in my own tree a HULL family connection at the end of the 19th century in the East End of London. As far back as I can get on the Hull side will be either a Joseph or Thomas Hull producing first children in the early 1820's and therefore likely to have born at the close of the 18th century. Do you have any Hampshire Hulls in your tree who are possible candidates for a shift from Hampshire to London? Hi Nigel, Greetings from Toronto, Canada. My regrets. My Hull ancestry goes back to Christian Malford, Wilts, in the latter half of the 1700s. Unfortunately, I do not have any known Hull males who migrated to London in your time-span. I wish you successes in your search for your family history. Best wishes. Peter Ferreira. ----- Original Message ----- From: Nigel St C Gerdes To: Peter Ferreira ; eng-hampshire-kingsclere@rootsweb.com Sent: Saturday, November 21, 2009 4:15 PM Subject: Re: [King] William Frederick HULL (1849 - 1939) Farmer of East & West Woodhay Peter, I do have in my own tree a HULL family connection at the end of the 19th century in the East End of London.
