UK BarbaraMallyon@lewmal.co.uk List Admin Hello Barbara We are organising an open day under the English Heritage Scheme in the town's old cemetery at South View on Sunday 13 September from 10-4, which as you probably know also contains the remains of the 2 ancient chapels. We do have a database of burials here after about 1850 or so and although we cannot look references up on the day, we will take details in a book if people can come along. This burial ground was in use from the 13th century until about 1912 when the new cemetery in Worting Road opened. There are burials post that date in this cemetery. I hope you will be able to publicize this event to your members.
