Hello Nigel and Rod, Looking at the BURGEMAN, there is a John (of Newton) married to Sarah PARSONS 31 May 1728 Burghclere. Could this be the same John BURGEMAN that later married Mary SOMERSBEE 28 April 1739 Burghclere and is he/they be brother/s to Isaac BURGEMAN. Kind regards Barbara Lewis Mallyon Basingstoke, Hants. Hello Barbara and Nigel, Thanks to Barbara for the enquiry. I have often wondered on the same facts as Barbara has mentioned. However, the Hampshire Burial Index has nothing to assist insofar as a burial is concerned within the material period for Sarah, the bride from 1728. The absence of such information proves nothing as if she had died it might have been in a place not in Hampshire or of course it might be an unrecorded burial due to forgetfulness. However, I think what Barbara has queried is a possibility and if so I suspect that John was Isaac's brother. Unfortunately I have not got any suggestions regarding Isaac's baptism nor his parentage nor his origin. Regards, Rod.
