Would he have had to have a settlement cert. and is it possible to find out what family were with him? I know son John was. I love reading queries & answers of other members. Eli Cooper was born about 1841 in Kingsclere ,fathers name was David Emma Munday was christened 26 march 1848 ,farthers name was William, mothers name was Susanna. Hello Barbara, Thank you for the information on the children of Fredrick and Alice Brewer it has filled in the blank spaces very nicely, the details of the marriage between SEPTIMUS H SMITH and ROSE WILD in KINGSCLERE in 1923 in the Sept quarter was taken from the GRO index and Monina checked it for me yesterday when she went to the library and came up with the same date. Do you need an approximate year when looking up a date for a burial, I am still trying to find the burials of FREDRICK and ALICE BREWER of KINGSCLERE. Many Thanks, Charlie Rodgers

While going through the PRs for Barnsley, Gloucestershire, I came upon the following entry for a marriage : Matthew MILES of Chedworth & Anna TOWNSEND of Barnsley married by banns 19 June 1797. Daniel's born 1780 a Hannington parents were John and Ann, but I hadn't found any older children because the Hannington Registers are either unreadable or haven't survived John I had calculated was born c1740 from his age at death in 1817 just right for John mentioned on Cornelius's removal order. If it is not to much trouble could you look up the baptism' s for John 1740 Sarah 1741 and Mary 1745 and the marriage of Cornelius and Sarah possibly late 1730's and John and Ann late 1750's, just in case they where at Kingsclere.
