    3. Dear Mary, Christina and John, I have Rumbold, Seward and Booth in my Australian Ancestry. Mary Rumbold was my third great aunt, her husband Joshua Booth was the brother of my 3rd Great grandmother, Elizabeth Booth who married John Prismall. A number of their children came to Australia. Elizabeth Seward, who married Richard Prismall, is my 5th Great Grand Aunt. Richard was the brother of John Prismall, who married Ann Smith. Their son John married Martha Ruddle. I will look up the information on the Kingsclere site, but would love John Rumbold's ancestry if possible. Carol Dale Researching Prismalls

    2. Here are a few burials at St Mary's, Thatcham. Note that these burials are not taken from the original registers but from a set of handwritten transcriptions which are kept at Reading Central Reference Library. These transcriptions are much easier to read than the original registers which are all on microfilm at the Berkshire Record Office and a bit of a hotch-potch. These entries should of course be checked in the original registers. The accuracy of my transcriptions cannot be guaranteed! 3rd December 1729 Thomas House of Kingsclear carpenter 25th December 1729 Daughter of William Bridgeman 27th January 1730 The son of William Bridgeman 30th January 1730 The daughter of William Bridgeman 14th January 1732 Mary wife of Edward Bridgman 10th February 1732 Daughter of Edward Bridgman 3rd October 1732 William Bridgman laborer 12th March 1733 Son of Joseph Cooper 13th June 1734 Wilkins widdow from Kingsclear 17th July 1734 William Rabbetts labourer 30th April 1736 William son of Thomas Bridgeman 31st December 1736 Daughter of William Bridgeman deceased June 1738 Elizabeth d. of Edward Bridgman [no day given in the transcription] 24th June 1739 Edward Bridgman laborer from ye Workhouse 25th November 1741 William Hall a child kept at Francis Tidbery 30th November 1749 John son of John and Bety [sic] Bridgman 28th May 1758 Mary d. of Joseph and Mary Cooper 1758 Elizabeth d. of John Bridgman [I omitted to note the date for this one] 1st September 1758 Ann d. of John and Ann Fisher 22nd May 1759 William son of Thomas and Martha Bridgman 9th January 1761 Amy wife of Thomas Legg [Tegg?] of Kingsclere 15th November 1762 James Dodd found dead on Greenham Common 19th February 1763 Wife of John Bridgman 20th April 1765 Stephen son of William and Elizabeth Bridgman Best wishes Debbie Kennett
