Eliza had several siblings. I would be very interested if anyone has any information about these families as I seem to be stuck at 1814. | Rosemary in Melbourne |

For once I don't even have this particlular marriage. Whilst I have one Baggs tree which resembles the Baggs family on Benjamin Becks website I cannot fit the above James into this tree. I haven't followed up on the Baggs family as I don't have Hannington parish records other than the 1780-1812 Bishops Transcripts. The Smith side I can provide details, > it is my family tree. I would much value any details on the Bolton > side you might be able to provide. Did they have a family? I have Sarah Gurdler, widow married to William Bolton at St. Paul, Woodlands on 21 Dec 1851. Sarah's father was Jacob Smih and her first marriage to Andrew Girdler. Witness to this marriage (entry no. 69) were Joseph Bolton and Louisa Anglas. William was said to be of Thatcham and his father Benjamin Bolton, labourer. Th 1851 census for Thatcham has a William Bolton age 45, and a Joseph Bolton age 40 both ag labs and born Thatcham, recorded as lodgers at Little Park Farm, Thatcham. So it looks like this is the right William although to confuse things (as usual) there is a William age 41 born Thatcham recorded in Kingsclere in 1851. However it could be this William has a wife Elizabeth age 32 born Wasing, 'tho it would need the 'as enumerated' to confirm this. No record of any Benjamin in Thatcham, Newbury or Bradfield RDs nor in any of the N. Hants parishes around Kingsclere. He isn't recorded as deceased in the marriage entry so his whereabouts is a mystery. The only other Bolton in Thatcham is a Joseph age 75 born Thatcham who is recorded as step-father in h/h of Thomas Collins 37 b. Greenham and wife Amy 35 born Thatcham. -- John Lewis <jayellatntlworlddotcom> from Bournemouth, Dorset, UK. using Debian GNU/Linux and GeneWeb genealogy software

    3. Hello All I am having trouble with BT at the moment. I am on Surf Time but could always use Daytime. BT suddenly over the past five weeks have not accepted me during Daytime - they do not accept my User Name & Password although I have not in anyway altered the wording in the Box. I wrote to them as to find a "live" voice on the telephone I found impossible. A young man came on the phone last week and took me through procedures and he gave me a new Symbol and said everything would be O.K. I now have Symbol "Short cut New Daytime". Tried it - you have guessed correctly - still will not accept me. I have sent another letter. >From Barbara's List it appears I am not the only one having trouble with BT. Anyone who has sent me messages and have not received a reply I am sorry - perhaps I might receive them if you send after 6pm in the evening and before 8am next day and at the Weekends - this is my Surf Time Package - if you send during the day it seems that I am not going to receive them as my User Name & Password are not being accepted. I know that BT have had Virus trouble and I wonder if this is the cause, though the young man last week who phoned said it should not affect me. I am running my Norton twice a week at the moment just incase. Denis [Hamilton]

    1. Message delayed for 6 days
    2. Carol, Christina and John (this message has been delayed for 6 days by Mailer-Daemon) John Rumbold was my husband's great grandfather. He died in his prime from an accident in the field, according to my late mother-in-law. His horse threw him and he was carried home on a farmyard gate. His widow and three daughters had to live in penury for the rest of their lives - from being waited on by servants, the three girls were obliged to go into service themselves. I have a lot of information on John Rumbold and his family, in which the eldest son in each generation was named John, at Swait's Farm, Ecchinswell. Unfortunately, my papers are at home in Winchester and I will not be able to check until I go back for a few weeks in November. Best wishes to all, Mary Phillips P.S. Carol, when you say "a number of their children came to Australia" do you mean your Prismalls, or those of Mary Rumbold and Joshua Booth?
