Hi Wendy and List, The previous messages you sent did reach here via the list. You may find your own e-mail service supplier has a spam filter set to block mail from yourself to yourself even if it comes via a list. One spammer technique is to send mail to you and make it look as if it came from you, hence many service providers put the default setting to block such mail. If you take it up with your supplier they may be able to help. There might be a self service spam filter setting at your suppliers web site you can adjust to permit mail from yourself to reach you via a list distribution such the one we use at [email protected] Hope this helps, good luck with the PIPERS - not a name I have much on so unable to assist. 2. Elizabeth Many thanks for the Timothy BROWNJOHN baptism. I hadn't thought to look for him under the surname BROWN. I can see you will have your work cut out sorting out the BROWNS and BROWNJOHNS. Do all the BROWNS change their name to BROWNJOHN? How have you established that Amos BROWNJOHN is the father of Hannah KEWELL's two children? Was he the only BROWNJOHN living in Ecchinswell at that time or do you have other documentary evidence? James & Catherine had 9 children (that I have found) in Pimlico/Lambeth/Reading and both James and Catherine died in Reading. James Richard Fry was born in Pimlico to John & Elizabeth Fry. I haven't found a marriage and only 2 children, J R born ca1823 and Jane born ca1828. We think John Fry was the one born in Bramley ca1794 to Richard Fry & Jane Gosling who married at Bramley on 26 May 1788. Richard Fry being born in Kingsclere ca1763. 3. Hello Jeff. First of all, an apology - I said in my last mail that Emma BROWN née BRADLEY was the sister of my great-grandmother Esther BRADLEY, who married John COX. I'm afraid I was having a 'senior moment' and confusing Emma with her aunt, Esther's sister Eliza BRIDGMAN née BRADLEY (too many forenames beginning with E. and surnames with B...!) Anyway, that still makes Emma the first cousin of my grandad Harry COX, and I remain interested in seeing a photo of her. To answer you query, my research interest in this area is the extended BRADLEY family, and thus your Emma and her BROWN descent. I look forward to hearing more in due course. Regards, Mike [PS - was it yourself who mentioned a fair while back that there was a photo in existence somewhere of Emma's uncle and Esther's brother, John BRADLEY?] ___________________________________________________________ Yahoo! Hmm I was awaiting your email.... I couldn't quite recall who had contacted me as to who was researching whom. Are you just interested in John and Emma Bradley?? It has most of the son's and daughters of John/Emma (along with my great grandmother). There is one of Thomas Pemberton (husband of Emma Brown) dated very late 1800's. There is a family picture of John and Emma, includes all kids except Les the youngest so about 1892. A lot arent identified, will see what I have. I will contact you off list probably on the weekend when I have the time to do some scanning. Jeff

Hi Debbie So far as I know the Marriage Register for St. Lawrence is still held in the parish. They didn't marry at St. Mary or St. Paul so if they did in fact marry at St. Lawrence rather than Burghclere (which is of course in Kingsclere RD) then the only way you are going to get the details is by writing to the Parish Clerk and asking for a search of that part of the register (don't forget to enclose a SAE) _or_ by getting a copy of the Marriage Certificate -- John Lewis Debian (Sid) with the GeneWeb genealogy package
