Hi Erica - not much to add but there is a Lewis TURRELL born 1830 in Lewes, Sussex in 1851. He is in the household of William and Ann CHIPP 56 Great Russell St. Brighthelmston, sussex. Occupation general labourer. William CHIPP is a ships carpenter and Lewes is just north of Brighton. Curiously there is a marriage on Pallots Marriage Index for a Lewis TURRELL to Mary MORLEY, in Soho 1828. May turn out to be unrelated but perhaps worth tucking away. It's possible that if you put a query on the Sussex list that someone may have access to the 1841 for Lewes (although I suspect it is pretty large). Hope this helps a little.
