    1. Miss Bournemouth 1933
    2. Toni Leather
    3. My grandmother, Muriel Alice Hutchins, was crowned Miss Bournemouth in, I believe, 1933. Her portrait was displayed in a photographer's shop window. My grandfather saw the picture, fell in love with it, and asked the photographer who it was and how he could meet her. So began the saga culminating in my 42 year old, married father of 2, grandfather disappearing without trace from the lives of his family. He subsequently had 6 children with Miss Bournemouth, I am a descendant of this 2nd relationship. Incidentally, 68 years later, I had the opportunity to tell grandfather's oldest son what had become of his beloved father. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can find out more about Miss Bournemouth 1933 and locate the photographer? I guess the obvious answer is the local paper, but what paper, can it be narrowed down to a particular month, would it be likely to tell me the photographer and how do I access this information when not in Hampshire? The portrait was a painting which had been done from the official photo of Miss Bournemouth. I'd like to find out if the painting still exists anywhere, the family have just a photo and not the painting, but where do I start? Regards Toni
